We have a WINNER for week 1 trivia!!
We had 5 followers who answered the 1st trivia question and
answered correctly!
Las Vegas was named by a Spanish trader, Rafael Rivera.
After crossing miles and miles of desert (you saw me in the
Death Valley picture),they found this valley with
artesian springs that had created beautiful green meadows.
Vegas means "meadows" in Spanish therefore this lush green
valley was named Las Vegas (The Meadows).
Thanks to the 5 entrants: Glenn Tucker, Jimmie Moore,
Wilson Smith, Myrna Oxendine and Clair Fletcher.
And THE WINNER IS: Clair Fletcher
Congratulation, Clair. Go by the LP Chamber Office and pick
up your FREE ticket.
Look for the next trivia and chance to win again coming out on
Monday!!
Just having fun!!
Chris
